Liveweight market report for the cattle sale held on Wednesday 1st June 2022

Average Liveweight Results of Fat & Store Sale – Steers, Heifers, Cows and Bulls

Average C/KG – 589 c/kg
Average $/Head – $ 1675

+ 1 x 1 Cow & calve sold to $2700

+ PTIC Heifers sold to $2220

A smaller yarding came to hand for the Monto fat and store sale this week with 240 head yarded. Some good quality yearlings and weaners were penned and a small number of meatworks cattle also. Cattle were met with strong demand for all descriptions.

M Wilson sold Charbray steers to 415c/kg at 586 Kg to return an average of $2434. KJ and L Davis sold Droughtmaster cross yearling steers for 632.2c/kg averaging 343Kg to return $2167. N and T Pratt sold Brangus and Brahman cross steers to 716.2c/kg at 241Kg for $1725. A and J Kerr sold Speckle Park steers for 733.2c/kg at 273Kg to return an average of $1637. Bluffview Pastoral also sold 217Kg Brangus steers for 754c/kg to return $1637.

PF Breitkreutz and DG Johnson sold Red Brahman heifers for 468.2c/kg at 361Kg to return an average of $1692. They also sold PTIC (2-4 Mths) Red Brahman cross heifers for $2200. A and J Kerr sold Speckle Park cross heifers for 672.2c at 212Kg $1422.

Bluffview Pastoral sold 576Kg Droughtmaster cross cows to 380c/kg to return $2191.
