Following three weeks of declining numbers the supply of stock at Dalby increased by 1,004 head to 5,622. The number of stock from far Western Queensland also lifted to 1,298 along with 244 head from New South Wales with 4,080 head from the local supply areas. Buyer representation across all classes was good and included southern export processors and all were operating in a firm to dearer market.
Heavy weight yearling steers to feed at the time of this interim report have experience very little change in price. Medium and heavy weight yearling heifers to feed averaged 5c to 20c/kg better. A good lineup of cows were firm to 5c to 7c/kg dearer.
Heavy weight yearling steers to feed made to 390c with a good sample averaging 373c/kg. Medium weight yearling heifers to feed average 341c and sold to 354c/kg. Heavy weight yearling heifers to feed made to 346c to average 326c/kg.
Heavy grown steers to export processors made to 355c and the bullock portion also made to 355c to average 344c/kg. Medium weight 2 score cows averaged 257c with sales to 275c/kg. Heavy weight 3 score cows averaged 285c and the best of the heavy weight cows made to 321c a fair sample at 312c/kg. Heavy weight bulls made to 323c/kg.
