Liveweight market report for the cattle sale held on Wednesday 1st June 2022 Average Liveweight Results of Fat & Store Sale – Steers, Heifers, Cows and Bulls Average C/KG – 589 c/kg Average $/Head – $ 1675 + 1 x 1 Cow & calve sold to $2700 + PTIC Heifers sold to $2220 A smaller yarding came to hand for the Monto fat and store sale this week with 240 head yarded. Some good quality yearlings and weaners were penned and a small number of meatworks cattle also. Cattle were met with strong demand for all descriptions. M Wilson sold Charbray steers to 415c/kg at 586 Kg to return an average of $2434. KJ and L Davis sold Droughtmaster cross yearling steers for 632.2c/kg averaging 343Kg to return $2167. N and T Pratt sold Brangus and Brahman cross steers to 716.2c/kg at 241Kg for $1725. A and J Kerr sold Speckle Park steers for 733.2c/kg at 273Kg to return an average of $1637. Bluffview Pastoral also sold 217Kg Brangus steers for 754c/kg to return $1637. PF Breitkreutz and DG Johnson sold Red Brahman heifers for 468.2c/kg at 361Kg to return an average of $1692. They also sold PTIC (2-4 Mths) Red Brahman cross heifers for $2200. A and J Kerr sold Speckle Park cross heifers for 672.2c at 212Kg $1422. Liveweight market report for the cattle sale held on Friday 20th May 2022 Average Liveweight Results of Fat & Store Sale – Steers, Heifers, Cows and Bulls 600 head nominated in Charbray Show Sale Section ◾Average C/KG – 563 c/kg ◾Average $/Head – $ 1823 + PTIC Cows sold to $2600 + PTIC Heifers sold to $2650 + Open Auction Bulls sold to $4050 1068 head were yarded at the 7th Annual Charbray & Charbray Infused Show & Sale and Fortnightly Fat & Store Sale. A terrific line up of cattle came to hand & met very strong demand. Bullocks acc of the Bennett Family sold to 408c/kg at718 kg to return an average of $2930. G & D Arneil of Biloela sold Bullocks for 408c/kg averaging 773kg to return $3156/head. Charbray Cows Acc Mt Pleasant Grazing sold to 354c/kg averaging 553kg to return an average of $1962. Charbray steers acc DB & RW Brown sold to 582c/kg averaging 408kg to return an average of $2376. Charbray steers acc of B & S Pailthorpe sold for $2456 averaging 465kg at 528c/kg. There was a total yarding of 242 head with a large supply from local vendors. Luke Wilson sold a 755kg Droughtmaster Bull at 336.2c/kg to return $2538. Santa cross bullocks sold to 401.2c/kg averaging 755kg to return $3029. M Louttit sold 657kg Charbray cows at 360.2c/kg to return $2366. Hereford Cross cows account of G Brian averaged 700kg and returned an average pf $2619. 506kg Charbray steers returned an average of $2524 at 506c/kg. CJ & JF Baldwin sold Droughtmaster steers for 524c/kg to average 420kg and return an average of $2204. Warren Roth sold Brangus steers averaging 278kg at 630c/kg to return an average of $1751. 237kg Brangus steers of RB & K Dent sold at 642c/kg to return an average of $1519. A total of 307 head were yarded. VI & AC Goody sold a line of Simmental cross steers averaging 260kg at 680.2c/Kg to return $1767. Charbray Steers on account of Barlu Farms sold for $1750 at 693.2c/kg averaging 252kg. Santa Steers account of Hampson’s sold for $2130 at 484.2c/kg averaging 440kg. Hampson’s also sold smaller steers averaging 395kg at 510c/kg to return $2015. Braford Steers of Henley Cattle Co sold for $1908 averaging 340kg at 560.2c/kg. 362kg Angus and Droughtmaster cross steers sold for $2026 at 560.2c/kg. GR & PJ O’Dell sold Charbray heifers for $1743, averaging 348kg at 500c/kg. Waratah Pastoral sold 265kg Angus x heifers at 590.2c/kg to return $1565.
